Celebrating Bianca and Guadalupe: A Beautiful Union of Cultures

On a radiant day at Rancho Pegaso in Pocola, Oklahoma, I had the honor of officiating the wedding of Bianca and Guadalupe, a stunning Salvadoran-Mexican couple. Surrounded by 100 of their closest family and friends, they celebrated their love in a ceremony that beautifully blended two rich cultures.

Bianca and Guadalupe’s story began in 2019 when they met and became fast friends. Friendship blossomed into love, and by 2020 they were officially a couple. Bianca knew early on that Guadalupe was the one for her. In 2021, during a romantic trip to Miami, FL, she proposed, setting the stage for this unforgettable wedding day.

The ceremony was set against the backdrop of a heart-shaped arch, elegantly adorned with white roses. It was a perfect representation of the love that brought everyone together. Bianca and Guadalupe honored their cultural roots by incorporating the traditional lazo and arras into their ceremony, symbolizing unity and the sharing of their new life together. They also shared custom vows, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the ceremony.

To add a bit of levity to the event, the DJ played a TikTok video featuring a priest humorously explaining the significance of the lazo tradition in Mexican culture. It was a light-hearted moment that brought laughter and joy to everyone present.

It was truly an honor to travel from Oklahoma City to be part of such a special day. Bianca and Guadalupe’s wedding was a beautiful reminder of the power of love to bring together different cultures, creating a tapestry of traditions, joy, and unity.

Review from brides Bianca and Guadalupe:

"We couldn't be happier with how our wedding ceremony turned out! Every detail was perfect, from the heart-shaped arch to the incorporation of our traditions. The lazo and arras ceremony was so meaningful, and our custom vows made the day feel uniquely ours. We loved the fun touch with the TikTok video—it lightened the mood and added some laughter to our special day. Thank you for making our ceremony everything we dreamed of and more!"

From Swipe Right to Forever: Leah and Nino’s Love Story at P.Alice

Love can happen when you least expect it, and for Leah and Nino, it all started with a simple swipe right. In just a few short months, their connection grew so strong that they knew they were meant to spend the rest of their lives together. This is the story of how these two amazing women met, fell madly in love, and celebrated their love at the beautiful P. Alice venue in Oklahoma City.

Leah and Nino both signed up for the dating app with no expectations, but fate had other plans. From the moment they matched, their conversations flowed effortlessly, and they soon discovered how much they had in common. Their first date was filled with laughter, deep conversation, and a sense of comfort that neither had experienced before. As the weeks turned into months, they knew they had found something extraordinary.

Choosing the right venue was important to Leah and Nino, and when they visited P. Alice in Oklahoma City, they knew it was the perfect place to say “I do.” The venue’s modern, intimate atmosphere matched their vision perfectly. Surrounded by close family and friends, Leah and Nino exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony that reflected their deep love and commitment to each other.

Leah describes their relationship as one of pure joy and deep understanding, while Nino says she knew from the start that Leah was the one she had been waiting for her whole life. They continue to support and uplift each other every day, grateful for the love they found when they least expected it.

Leah and Nino's love story is a beautiful reminder that love knows no boundaries. Whether it’s found in person, through a friend, or with the help of a dating app, true love is always worth the wait.

Best wishes to Nino & Leah!

Review from Leah: “Choosing Rev. Yareni Alvarado as our wedding officiant was one of the best decisions we made! From our first meeting to the big day, she went above and beyond to make our ceremony truly special. She took the time to get to know us as a couple, listened to our story, and crafted a personalized ceremony that perfectly reflected our love and values. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail were unmatched. We are still talking about how beautiful and heartfelt the ceremony was. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant to guide us through this momentous occasion. Thank you for making our day unforgettable!”

Emma and Soniya of Oklahoma City, OK married at Lake Arcadia in Edmond, OK. The newlywed couple met over a year ago at the salon that Soniya is an esthetician at. Emma would go in and get her eyebrows done with Soniya. They both knew from the beginning that things were going to get serious between them and eventually exchanged phone numbers. Soniya and Emma have been together ever since and look forward to the many adventures ahead of them. They both feel they can be themselves around each other and also comfortable like they have found their home within each other.

Emma and Soniya wrote their own vows and expressed how they wanted their future to look like. Their words were from the heart and emotionally driven that it made for the most romantic intimate wedding ceremony at Arcadia Lake during sunset.

From Soniya: "Thank you for being so accommodating and chill with us. We loved our intimate wedding so much and we will never forget it. Thank you for being you!"

Janneth and Kimberly traveled from Austin, TX to marry at Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City, OK.

Janneth is originally from Mexico and Kimberly is originally from Puerto Rico. The couple met online and had a long distance relationship until they both decided to move to Austin, TX together. When they first heard of the law passing for same-sex marriages in Oklahoma they called
and had so many questions because they couldn't believe a sex-same couple could finally get married.

The couple exchanged heartfelt vows to one another and they were full of joy to have finally married. They both said that they couldn't believe that they could marry the love of their life. It was such a wholesome moment that I will cherish forever.

Review from Kimberly: " I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to have married Janneth. We are incredibly happy and will always remember our special day. Thanks so much!"

Randy and Jim married at Lake Hefner in Oklahoma City, OK. The couple traveled from Ft. Smith, Arkansas to elope at Lake Hefner. Jim is originally from the Philippines and the couple met online. They have been together for 3 years and as soon as the law passed for same-sex marriages in Oklahoma they began looking for a wedding officiant in Oklahoma City, OK. At first they had trouble finding a wedding officiant to perform their same-sex ceremony until they found me.

Same-sex couples deserve the right to happily marry the one they love.

Guadalupe & Blanca Nieves♡

By Rev. Yareni Alvarado

After 20 years of being together, Guadalupe and Blanca Nieves were finally able to tie the knot! As of October 6, 2014, it is now legal in Oklahoma to allow same-sex marriages. As soon as the law passed to allow same-sex marriages in Oklahoma, Guadalupe rushed to call me and book a date and time to get married. I happily agreed and told them that they would be my first same-sex couple that I'd get to marry in Oklahoma.

The couple traveled from the Dallas metroplex to marry on their anniversary! It was a cold chilly evening with 35 degree temperatures which guests had to come up with ways to stay warm by dancing in place and making jokes.

It was such a joyous occasion as everyone was thoroughly excited for Guadalupe and Blanca Nieves to finally be able to get married. It was a very emotional elopement. Tears of joy and disbelief flowed as the couple said their own vows to one another.

Love is love. It is an honor to be a part of history by marrying LGBT couples in the state of Oklahoma.

Review from Blanca Nieves: "Thank you so much for marrying us! We are so happy that we found you and we will always remember today. We will be referring our LGBT friends for you to marry them as well. Thank you for everything!"
