By Rev. Yareni AlvaradoCarlos & Karina of Oklahoma City, OK married at their home in South OKC. After being together for 12 years and on a whim the couple decided to get married last minute. On Monday, the decision was made and by Saturday Carlos and Karina were married.
The couple requested a Spanish wedding ceremony that included custom vows along words of affirmations of their love for one another. There was a sweet moment when their middle child started crying with tears of joy as her parents said their I DOs. Carlos and Karina, have a solid support system. Their family and friends, helped tremendously by providing emotional support, decorating, and bringing lots of food and beverages to the reception. At the reception, one of their friend's brought over a large pot of carnitas and chicharrones to share with everyone. I even got a to-go plate! Best wishes to Carlos and Karina. Review from the bride: "Thank you for making our wedding ceremony so memorable yet so spontaneous. Thank you for accommodating us into your busy schedule. We are forever grateful!"

By Rev. Yareni AlvaradoIsrael and Lizbeth of Oklahoma City, OK married at Vast in downtown Oklahoma City, OK.
Israel and Lizbeth are originally from Coahuila, Mexico. They met in Mexico when they were younger and reconnected years later in OKC. The couple chose Vast as their wedding venue because last year Israel proposed to Lizbeth on their anniversary there. The couple had an intimate bilingual wedding ceremony that touched on key parts of their love story. Lizbeth and Israel said custom wedding vows to each other and it made for a heartwarming moment during their wedding ceremony. At the wedding reception, guests were given the choice of ordering off of a fixed menu of the couple’s favorite dishes. Best wishes to Lizbeth and Israel! Review from father of the groom: “The wedding ceremony was excellent! Thank you for performing a bilingual wedding ceremony just as they wanted it.” |
