A Love Story at Will Rogers Gardens: Joi & Sean’s Wedding

​On a bright and joyful day at the Will Rogers Gardens, Joi and Sean promised forever surrounded by family, friends, and the timeless beauty of the Ed Lycan Conservatory. Their wedding was a heartfelt celebration of love and culture, weaving together traditions that honored who they are as individuals and as a couple.
 
As guests arrived, the air was filled with the elegant sounds of a live string quartet. The music created a romantic backdrop that carried through the ceremony, making every moment feel timeless and cinematic.
 
Joi, a radiant African American bride, and Sean, her American groom, beautifully blended two cultures during their ceremony. One of the most touching highlights was the jumping of the broom. A tradition deeply rooted in African American heritage that symbolizes sweeping away the past and stepping together into a new life as one. It was a moment of joy, history, and unity, cheered on by all their loved ones.
 
Their personalities shined not just in the ceremony but in the celebration afterward. Their wedding cake was a true showstopper! A playful and creative nod to their favorite TV shows and movies, complete with a dragon perched proudly on top. It was a perfect reflection of their shared passions and the fun, adventurous spirit they bring into their marriage.
 
Joi and Sean’s wedding was more than a beautiful day; it was a celebration of love, culture, and the blending of traditions that made the day uniquely theirs.
